About the Client

Micol and Dino have been long-time friends. When Micol decided to co-promote her now released cookbook, the website rapidly developed into much more than just recipes: travel advisory, shopping tips, regional customs etc. In addition, the site also provides a means to spread the word about all the other cooking-related services that Micol is involved in.

Design Overview

This project was somewhat different from what I usually do. Dino was very eager to do it all by himself, so we started out with the basics of html, what software to buy and how to go about it. Dino jumped right in and created the site mainly with Dreamweaver. For a first-timer, this site is truly awesome (Disclaimer: Dino had extensive knowledge of Adobe Illustrator). Once the basic layout was there, I suggested a number of usability improvements and streamlined the html code. Finally, I suggested a suitable web hosting service, and familiarized Dino with the details of how to upload files and how to advertise the site. It's fun, when you don't have to do all the leg-work!
